Normally just one version of this material is made then applied to the material override key. Applying the one variation of itself over all the objects in a scene. Which is later filtered over the same color image as a blend mode in an image editing program to add more depth and shade to objects. This effect rids the image of what some call floating objects. However by not turning them off I am able to use other materials in the scene as well.
